5 Doctoral Fellowships at the University of Postdam (Germany)
In 2013, WIPCAD offers three doctoral fellowships funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and two doctoral fellowships funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
DFG-funded doctoral fellows will receive a monthly scholarship of € 1365 for up to 36 months, contingent on successful completion of each year. DAAD-funded doctoral fellows will receive a monthly scholarship of € 1000 and additional health insurance contributions for up to 36 months, contingent on successful completion of each year. Furthermore, research stays abroad and participation in conferences or workshops during the fellowship are supported. Allowances for families are also available.
DFG-Fellowships are open to all nationalities, while DAAD-Fellowships are reserved for non-German applicants. Their selection will be coordinated with the DAAD Selection board. Non-German applicants will automatically be considered for both, DFG- and DAAD-funded, fellowships.
Applicants must hold a diploma or a master’s degree in political and administrative sciences, sociology or public management. In exceptional cases, graduates with degrees from closely related fields may be considered. Key selection criteria are the quality of the PhD proposal, its fit with the overall thematic agenda of the research training group, its innovative potential and its likely contribution to the state of knowledge in public administration.
International students are strongly encouraged to apply. The Faculty strives to increase the share of women in the university and hence strongly encourages women to apply.
Selection procedure for 2013:
-
