PhD Scholarships in financial econometrics, quantitative finance, econometric theory and statistics at the University of Maastricht (Netherlands)
The Department of Finance and the Department of Quantitative Economics (Econometrics group) at Maastricht University have openings for up to 7 PhD positions in the areas of financial econometrics, quantitative finance, econometric theory and statistics. The positions are funded by grants from the European Union, the Dutch Science Foundation and one is in cooperation with Ratheon BBN Technologies (USA).
The starting date of the positions is September 2012. We encourage applications from candidates with a master degree in Econometrics, Mathematics, Statistics and quantitative specializations in a master of Economics or Finance. Successful applicants should have obtained their master degree by that time.
Candidates from either a one-year or a two-year master program can apply. Candidates from a one-year master program are expected to do additional course work at the start of the PhDprogram.

· an up to date CV,
· a motivation letter,
· list of grades for master’s studies;
· the names and addresses of two reference persons,
· other material, if any (e.g. publications), which should be taken into account in the assessment.
