The biennial Ahmed Zewail Prize is now accepting nominations for the 4th award in 2013.
Nominations need to be for individual scientists who have made significant and creative contributions, particularly those of a fundamental nature, to any of the disciplines of molecular sciences. The nominees research activities can cover theoretical and/or experimental aspects of studies in all phases of matter and biological systems.
The 2013 award ceremony will be held at the Ahmed Zewail Prize Award Symposium at the ACS Spring National Meetings. The Prize consists of a monetary award of US$ 20,000, a Gold Medal, and a certificate. The Prize winner will be requested to deliver a lecture at this Symposium, jointly hosted by the ACS Division of Physical Chemistry (PHYS) and Elsevier. He/she will be asked to invite 3 – 4 colleagues to each deliver a supporting lecture covering their work in a related field.
