Luxembourg : 2 Doctorale Scholarships in Mathematics
The University of Luxembourg is looking for its Faculty of Science, Technology and Communication for 2 Doctorale Candidates (PhD student) in Mathematics (m/f)
•Start date: 1 June 2012 or later.
Research Group: Geometry and Mathematical Theory of Quantization (Martin Schlichenmaier).
•Research in one of the areas: Modern Geometry, infinite-dimensional Lie algebras, geometrical aspects of Quantization, conformal field theory
•a limited teaching activity of 2 hours per week.
Requirements
•Master degree (or an equivalent degree) in Mathematics of high quality;
•solid knowledge in Geometry and Algebra
•dedication to doing Mathematics on a research level;
•willingness to integrate in a team;
•good written and oral skills in English;
•some basic knowledge of French and/or German will be helpful.
