PhD scholarships in Geotechnics: Numerical Simulation of frac processes for deep geothermal systems (Germany)
The Chair for Rock Mechanics at the Geotechnical Institut of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg (Germany) offers a phd-position for superior diploma or master degree holder, which are interested in rockmechanical numerical simulations and have a sound mathematical and physical background. Knowledge of ITASCA-codes is of advantage, but no pre- requisit.
The program starts on 01.06.2012 for a duration of 2 to 4 years. The working languages are English or German. The thesis can be also written in one of the both languages.
Requirements for Applicant:
Master or Diploma Degree in Engineering, Geophysics, Mathematics or Physics
