The genesis and transformation of values from an archaeological and anthropological perspective\u00b4, funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), offers<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>1 scholarship Archaeology and Cultural History of the Near East,<\/li>\n<li>1 scholarship Cuneiform Studies, 2 scholarships Classical Archaeology,<\/li>\n<li>1 scholarship Archaeology and History of the Roman Provinces,<\/li>\n<li>1 scholarship Archaeology of Coinage, Money and the Economy of the Ancient World,<\/li>\n<li>2 scholarships Prehistory (Europe and Afrika,<\/li>\n<li>3 scholarships Social\/Cultural Anthropology (Afrika, North Amerika and South East Asia)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The research training group, which is based at the Goethe University Frankfurt and the TU Darmstadt, focuses on concepts of value and equivalence in relation to material culture in a broad geographical and chronological framework. Further information regarding the proposed PhD topics and the concept of the study programme of the research training group are available under\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.daad.de\/deutschland\/promotion\/phd\/en\/13306-phdgermany-database\/www.value-and-equivalence.de\">www.value-and-equivalence.de<\/a><br \/>\nThe successful appointee will receive a monthly stipend of Euro 1200, plus Euro 103 per month for research expenses. An additional child allowance is available. Travel expenses for conference and research trips will be covered by the research training group.<br \/>\nThe language of the research training group is German. However, due to the internationality of the group, guest lectures and research projects take place in German and English, and applications in English are welcome. If the candidate is without any German language skills, they will be expected to acquire a B2 competency during the scholarship. Residence in or near Frankfurt is a requirement of the position.The research training group and the universities involved have an equal opportunity policy and therefore explicitly encourage women to apply for the position.
