It is highly important that its surface comprises all characteristics to provoke the right response; surface topography is one of the main characteristics. The TopoChip features thousands of distinct surface topographies to screen for each individual medical device the surface topography that elicits the desired biological response. Now we aim to prove the effectiveness of this TopoChip platform by screening the effect of the surface topographies on different cell types and for various biological responses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Within this position offered, the suitable candidate will be responsible for the development of the data mining and data analysis of the TopoChip high-throughput platform. To this end, the candidate will have to be able to work with cell based assays, automated fluorescence microscopy, image processing and large data library analysis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The department of Tissue Regeneration at the MIRA Institute for Biomedical Technology and Technical Medicine, University of Twente (http:\/\/tr.tnw.utwente.nl\/), in collaboration with the spin-off company Materiomics (www.materiomics.com), is dedicated to further develop our so-called \u2018TopoChip\u2019 platform.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u00a0Our offer<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This position is offered in within the STROMA project (www.stromal.org). Your salary will be Euro 2861,- to 3755,- (scale 10) gross per month based on your experience.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u00a0Your profile<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The suitable candidate has a PhD degree in bioinformatics or in biomedical engineering or related fields with a clear interest for bioinformatics. It is an advantage if the candidate has experience with image based analysis and\/or with cell culture and automated fluorescent imaging.
