English is the working language. The PhD\u00a0Thesis can be submitted in\u00a0English.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>The school offers research opportunities for young scientist who wish to obtain a doctorate degree in physics, theoretical\/computational chemistry or scientific computing. The focus is on the dynamics in matter, covering a wide spectrum ranging from finite atomic and molecular systems up to infinite surfaces and solids. The language of the school including the lecture program and the seminars is English.<br \/>\nWe offer excellent research facilities in our partner institutions: the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems, the Technische Universit\u00e4t Dresden, the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Physics of Solids, the Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research in Wroclaw\/Poland and the Institutes for Chemical Technology and Organic\/Biochemistry in Prague\/Czech Republic.<br \/>\nWe are looking for highly talented and motivated students. The standard entrance qualification is a Master degree or a Diploma. PhD fellowships are available for students worldwide and will be awarded on a competitive basis.<br \/>\nApplications should be submitted by April 30, 2012.
