\"\"<\/a>The International CPC Research School\u00a0Lung Biology and Disease<\/strong>\u00a0is offering full-time doctoral positions in the field of translational pulmonary medicine.<\/p>\n

The Comprehensive Pneumology Center, a translational research center dedicated to pulmonary medicine, was founded by three partners: The Helmholtz Zentrum M\u00fcnchen – German Research Center for Environmental Health, an expert in bridging fundamental experimental research with applied medical research, the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universit\u00e4t (LMU) with the University Hospital, one of the Top-Level-Universities in the German Excellence Initiative, and the Asklepios Hospital M\u00fcnchen-Gauting, one of the leading hospitals specialized on lung disease in Germany.
\nThe International Research School\u00a0Lung Biology and Disease<\/strong>\u00a0(http:\/\/www.cpc-researchschool.org<\/a>) is the premier educational platform at the CPC and is now seeking highly qualified and motivated doctoral students for the following research groups:<\/p>\n

Lung Tissue Remodelling
\nLung Repair and Regeneration
\nDevelopmental Immune Biology
\nProteasome Function
\nBronchopulmonary Dysplasia
\nNanoparticle dosimetry
\nDynamic of inflammatory lung diseases
\nMolecular genetic of lung diseases
\nImmunopathology of COPD<\/p>\n

Over a period of 3 years, you would benefit from comprehensive teaching curricula and close mentorship while performing cutting edge research projects within one of the CPC research groups. Under supervision of highly experienced faculty members, you would have the opportunity to investigate lung biology and disease at the interface of basic sciences and clinical medicine.<\/p>\n

The program starts at\u00a0any time for a duration of\u00a03 years.\u00a0The working language is\u00a0English and the language of the Doctoral Thesis is also\u00a0English<\/strong><\/p>\n

Requirements for Applicant<\/p>\n

Subject Requirements (Qualification)<\/strong>
\nThe program is intended for:
\n– Selected applicants from any country with a master?s degree (or equivalent) in biochemistry, biology, veterinary or human medicine, molecular biology, or related life-sciences and a commitment to a career in translational medical research
\n– Medical students and doctors who plan a career in biomedical science<\/p>\n

Good knowledge of the English language is necessary for successful completion of the program. Desirable is:
\n– an internationally recognized examination in English (e.g. TOEFL with min. 550)
\n– a degree of an English-speaking school or university or
\n– a longer stay abroad<\/p>\n
