The deadline for application is <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">February 1st, 2012.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">The VLIR-UOS training scholarships in Belgium are short training programmes (one to four months)<\/span> devoted to students and professional from developing countries. The aim of this scholarship programme is to encourage skills\u00a0transfer (rather than knowledge transfer) while\u00a0reinforcing\u00a0cooperation and networking between Belgium and the partner countries.<br \/>\nThe receiving institutions are the\u00a0Universiteit Antwerpen, the Universiteit Gent and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Universit\u00e9 Libre de Bruxelles).<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Selected Training Programmes for 2012:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 \u00a0AudioVisual Learning Materials \u2013 Management, Production and Activities (AVLM)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2022 \u00a0Beekeeping for Poverty Alleviation\u2022 \u00a0International Training Programme in Food Safety, Quality Assurance Systems and Risk Analysis\u2022 \u00a0Human Rights for Development<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2022 \u00a0Technology for Integrated Water Management<br \/>\nNumber of Awards:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Number of awards per year: \u00a0up to 70 scholarships to training participants.<\/p>\n<p>Citizens from the following countries are eligible:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">AfricaAlgeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, DR Congo, Ethiopia, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe<br \/>\nAsiaBangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Palestinian Administered Areas, Philippines, Vietnam<br \/>\nLatin America\u00a0Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Nicaragua, Peru, Surinam<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">The scholarships cover all related expenses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Application instructions: Details are available at the following link:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">http:\/\/www.scholarships.vliruos.be\/index.php?language=EN&amp;navid=493&amp;direct_to=How to apply<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students and professionals from Africa are advised to submit their application\u00a0earlier.
