The  project&rsquo;s main goal is to uncover forms and causes of negativism (such as the  level of negative campaigning) in Swiss political debates, as well as its  effects (e.g. on opinion formation).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The research project is directed by Prof. Marco Giugni and Dr. Alessandro  Nai.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Description and terms of employment<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Candoc position at 60%, according to the SNSF pay scale (about CHF 41&rsquo;000 \/  year during the first year, plus annuities from the 2nd year on). The duration  of the appointment is 3 years, non renewable. The chosen candidate will work at  the Social and Political Research Institute (RESOP), at the University of  Geneva, with an affiliation to the Department of Political Science and  International Relations (DSPRI). He\/she commits to prepare a PhD dissertation on  the project&rsquo;s topics. Starting date: February 1st, 2012.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Profile<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in the project&rsquo;s topics.
