Guidelines for Applicants
General Information
Canon Collins Trust invites applications for scholarships for postgraduate study in South Africa in 2014. We will provide funding for up to a maximum of two years for Masters and three years for PhD. Continued funding depends upon satisfactory progress and academic reports.
Canon Collins scholarships are not full scholarships and funding depends on the type of course you are doing. Awards in 2013 were up to the value of ZAR 50,000. Awards in 2014 are likely to be similar.
Are you eligible?
Applicants must be:
• be nationals of or have refugee status in one of the following countries:
Angola – Botswana – Lesotho – Malawi – Mozambique – Namibia – South Africa – Swaziland – Zambia – Zimbabwe;
• in possession of a good first degree, with a minimum grade of a 2:1, or upper second;
• be seeking this scholarship for postgraduate study at Masters or doctoral level;
• be registered to study or wish to study at a South African university.
