Postdoc in Molecule Discovery (Denmark)

The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability (CFB) at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is looking for an outstanding Postdoc or scientist to lead a small molecule discovery program in the field of antibacterial natural products from streptomycetes and fungi.
CFB is a DTU research center and is on par with a traditional academic university department, but without an educational mission. Besides its basic research in bioengineering, CFB is also aiming at innovation by developing new technologies and transferring knowledge to industry for the benefit of society. The CFB is therefore organized to operate at the interphase of basic and translational research.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold a PhD degree and possess deep knowledge of streptomycete biology, especially secondary metabolism, as seen through an excellent track record of high quality publications in peer-reviewed journals or a proven track record in industry. A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in the field post-Ph.D. is required. Experience with laboratory automation and group supervision and management will be an asset.
We offer
We offer an interesting and challenging job in an international environment focusing on research, public-sector consultancy and innovation, which contribute to enhancing the economy and improving social welfare. We strive for academic excellence, collegial respect and freedom tempered by responsibility. The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is a leading technical university in northern Europe and benchmarks with the best universities in the world.
