  • 3 scholarships Social/Cultural Anthropology (Afrika, North Amerika and South East Asia)

The research training group, which is based at the Goethe University Frankfurt and the TU Darmstadt, focuses on concepts of value and equivalence in relation to material culture in a broad geographical and chronological framework. The successful appointee will receive a monthly stipend of Euro 1200, plus Euro 103 per month for research expenses. An additional child allowance is available. Travel expenses for conference and research trips will be covered by the research training group.
The language of the research training group is German. However, due to the internationality of the group, guest lectures and research projects take place in German and English, and applications in English are welcome. If the candidate is without any German language skills, they will be expected to acquire a B2 competency during the scholarship. Residence in or near Frankfurt is a requirement of the position.The research training group and the universities involved have an equal opportunity policy and therefore explicitly encourage women to apply for the position.
