Description: Applications are invited for Research Scholarships in Otorhinolaryngology or the related fields of biomedical science to commence in 2013. Scholarships will be for a period of up to 3 years, subject to satisfactory progress, and are tenable in Australian or New Zealand institutions.
Eligibility: Individuals who are either medically qualified or science graduates, and who are, or will be, enrolled for a higher university degree, are eligible to apply.
Amount awarded: The stipend offered will be at the NHMRC Medical/Dental Scholarship rate for medical graduates or the Biomedical (non MBBS) Scholarship rate for science graduates or equivalents in New Zealand. Successful applicants will also be provided with a supplementary allowance for minor items of equipment, consumables and travel of up to $7,500 per annum.

Submission Instructions
1 original plus 7 single-sided copies (includes 1 for the Scholarships Office) of:
(i) the completed application form,
(ii) curriculum vitae
should be submitted to Scholarships Office, Jane Foss Russell Building, G02, University of Sydney, NSW, 2006 (Tel: 8627 8115) by Friday, 24 August 2012. The application must be signed by the Applicant and Head of Department. The Scholarships Office will arrange for Ms Austin’s signature in section 12.
Reports
Reports from the intended Head of Department, Supervisor, and Referee must be forwarded directly to the Foundation’s offices by 31 August 2012. Please note that the Referee must NOT work in the same institution as the Applicant.
