Ken Thiess Memorial Scholarship at Monash South Africa
Applications for the Ken Thiess Memorial Scholarship are currently open and will close on 31 July 2012.
Every year, the International RiverFoundation awards the Ken Thiess Memorial Scholarship and provides an invaluable opportunity for a young emerging community leader from a developing country to study IWC Master of Philosophy in Integrated Water Management at Monash South Africa.

The scholarship gives successful recipients a chance to develop their integrated water management knowledge and skills so that they may make a real and positive difference to the way water is managed in their local communities and countries in which they live.
Scholarship value
Tuition fees, international student health care and miscellaneous expenses (e.g. student visa expenses) to study at Monash South Africa, a campus of Monash University.
Selection criteria
To apply for this scholarship and to be accepted into the program, applicants must:
- Have a Bachelors degree with Honours I or Honours II Division A or hold qualifications which in the opinion of a commitee are equivalent or a satisfactory substitute
- Possess research aptitude and an interest in multi-disciplinary water issues (some work experience would also be beneficial)
- Be a resident of a country with a demonstrated need for leadership in integrated water management.
