15 PhD Scholarships at the International Graduate School – Molecular Interactions of Pathogens with Biotic and Abiotic Surfaces
The International Graduate School « Molecular Interactions of Pathogens with Biotic and Abiotic Surfaces » – GRK1409 – (funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft – DFG) offers 15 PhD positions (65% E13) and 3 MD fellowships in the Life Sciences.
The third class will start on October 1st, 2012 (5 PhD positions) resp. January 1st, 2013 (10 PhD positions). Funding will be for 36 months.
Deadline for applications is June 1st, 2012 (positions starting October 2012)
The Graduate School combines research interests of groups from the Departments of Medicine, Biology, and Chemistry to investigate the molecular interactions of pathogens with cellular barriers and abiotic surfaces. The three-year PhD program will provide excellent training and research opportunities in molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, infectiology, microbiology, and molecular biomedicine accompanied by additional training offered by several soft skills programs. The Graduate School offers a continuous educational program conducted in English including training courses in experimental techniques. Seminars given by leading international scientists will foster a broad view on current topics in molecular life sciences. The program encourages close
cooperation across scientific disciplines in a stimulating scientific environment.
