The 7th African Science Day 2011 will take place on Saturday, October 22 nd, 2011 in Frankfurt/Main (Germany). As a yearly tradition, the African Science Day has been institutionalized with the intention of presenting Africa’s contribution to the development of Science and Technology in the world in general, and in the German speaking world in particular. Through the African Science Day, our organization “African Development Initiative” opens a platform for African Scientists willing to hold a scientific discourse on Africa. The session of this year will focus on the political conflict in Ivory Coast, the role played by the « international community », internal and external actors, the legal frame of their intervention as well as the ownership of African regional organizations in conflict resolution and prevention in Africa.
