Munich Aerospace: Doctoral Scholarships (Germany)

Programme Description
Candidates are higher-education graduates with a degree in a subject related to aeronautics and space technology who wish to obtain a doctoral degree at the Technical University Munich (TMU) or the University of the German Armed Forces (UniBw). The scholarship programme supports research themes proposed by the recognised Munich Aerospace Research Groups. Within each group, at least 2 of the 4 Munich Aerospace partners co-operate on specified key research topics giving scholars the opportunity to conduct research as part of a team. In addition, the scholarship programme enables candidates to enrol at the Munich Aerospace Graduate School. The scholarship is worth EUR 1,575 each month and will be granted for at least 12 months and at most 4 years.

Target Group
Graduates with a degree in a subject related to aeronautics and space technology wishing to obtain a doctoral degree at the Technical University Munich (TUM) or the University of the German Armed Forces (UniBw) an do research in one of the key projects currently in progress

  • Autonomous Flights
  • Safety in Orbit
  • Geodetic Earth Observation
  • Advanced Aerospace Communications and Navigation
  • Aviation Management

Academic Requirements
admission to a doctoral programme at the Technical University Munich or the University of the German Armed Forces in a subject related to aeronautics and space technology

up to 10 scholarships per year

Duration
up to 4 years at most

Scholarship Value

  • EUR 1,575 per month
  • costs occurring in the context of the doctoral project will be properly subsidized
  • enrolment at the Munich Aerospace Graduate School
